Hi all, I suggest if we can have at least (one day)get together in NOHS Grounds other days wherever, its worth missing & really memorable to have pictorials at the the Old "Columns & Walls of NOHS. Please if we can avoid prefered dates like "any" since this is a survey for our commitment such dates.. thnks

Hi Edgar,

Nice suggestion on Christmas week! However, I am thinking of the quality time to spent with our families might be "shortened" assuming (1) week vacation only. Other dates definitely will have additional cost implication but I believe it will be worth it in terms of "quality time" and knowing it is once in every 10 years.

Sa mga batchmate na nag-comment ug negative about the planned reunion.

Ang reunion ginabuhat kay ang adlaw sa tawo dili mahibal-an. Ma dato man o pobre, pareha lang ta ug destinasyon. Ang 96 batch reunion nato ay usa ka okasyon na mahimong part sa atong kinabuhi.

Diri nato mahinumduman ang HIGH SCHOOL life na dili nato madali-dali makalimtan. Dili pahambugay o pasikatay, we'll go back to our high school days in this occasion.

Ang reunion nato kung mahimo e-schedule sa pagka 15 years (2011) any month para meaningful and reasonable ang reunion sa majority ug wa nay ma-comment ang uban.

Naa na sa batchmate kung mo-attend sila o dili, we can’t pleased everybody.

Jas katawa man sad ta ana oi , wala pa gani na plano naa nay nag hunahuna nga di managad negative man pod dayon unsalan baya , ayaw usa mo pag una-una nga dili managad mao gani nag plano ani para mag kakita ang mga wala na nagkita for more than 10 yrs. Ug naay di managad kay di man gyod na malikayan move on ayaw pod patagad hahaha , ug pahambugay sige lang proud man sila sa ilang mga achievements , ana man gyod ang pinoy diba. Cheers!

My apology for being so nostalgic on unofficial classmate groupings...na miss naman gud nako tamo tanan..usa sa ako maremember angmga memories about sa small grouping..but this small groups again can be a catalyst para mabuo usab ato batch..daghan kaayo ta..(mamaya or bukas i list down ko tanan name.).In this connection, I challenged all registered batchmate na magrecruit pa mo bisan tag five batchmate na may contact mo para magparegister..Ok lang mag doble mo recruit..ang importante madaghan tah para sadya...mga true and ever loyal to Negros HIGH!!!

Please if we can close some negative issues and just move ahead of our plans. Although some comments has to be respected please bear in mind nga ang “reunion” para kini sa tanang batch ‘96, privilege ug katungod ni nato nga mo join, regardless kung ma single, married o doubles ka, walay dato o pobre kay equal tang tanan, “ulawan, tabian or hilumon ka man”, safe ka lang ug dili dilikente o bomber ba, ikaw welcome to attend ang pagbati ug kalipay nga makakita sa imong nawong ug makadungug sa imong tingug dili kabayran. Kadto nagduha-duha mo join I suggest better find your pear or local group or friends nga comfortable ka then in a group puede kamo mo coordinate sa mga ma-assign as local coordinators unya.

Kitang uban (including me) makatabang simply sa pag-desiminate sa information “ato i- sabwag ang balita“. You can send message though email, through text, through relatives or friends etc. Kung 5% himoun natong 10% sunod bulan 30% kaduhang bulan and so on kana possible kayo. I agree with Edgar kitang dia sa abroad and remote areas sa phils meeting place is this forum ang atong suggestion is encourage ug about Financials I think funding should be a must kana I think has to be agreed unya.

Jasper - brod maayo kaayo inyo suggestion to form a committee. I think sa karun ang best position to be assign for this committee kadto naa sa dumaguete or negros oriental and we will encourage theme to make initial acquaintances or short meetings for this purpose. They could as well discussed further kinsa in-charge sa specific task to do such as in charge of a) Venue Manager, b) Financials -Treasurer, c) PR , d) Communication, e) Transportation, f) Food, e) Registration and Scheduling etc… these are a few samples in my mind if you can refine and add some more would be very helpful….

Lets even be more grateful and thankful to Jasper, Edgar, and team who initiated and exerted effort for this purpose, malipay ta since dili baya tanan nga batch naay website like this, let us be proud and let us help for its success.

Jasper, thanks for creating this 1st Grand Reunion, I SALUTE YOU!!! even though layo ka... thanks to Edgar also.

We do really need committees. For those who lives in Dgte, i think they should meet first and then, create a committee. If naa lang ko sa Dgte, willing ko to be a member sa one of the committees. But, wala man ko, so all I can do is to pray that everything will be put in realization.

I just hope, daghan ang mo join ani!

My suggestion for this plan is: We should first contact at least 2 persons from every section and start having a schedule meetings before we create a committees, the reason why we should meet at least 2 representative from every section cause they're the one knows the whereabouts sa iyang ka-section... am i right? There's a list of names here from every section so the person responsible to contact his/her sectionmates/batchmates makita niya diri, so wala na siyay problema sa mga names if ever nalimut na siya sa mga names sa iyang mga classmates sauna.

I can help, I will volunteer myself and I will look for another one as a representative sa amu section(SECTION 2 Mam PATRON). We will finalize later, the committees and everything pag magka meet nami....

I agree with ronalds idea...mao sad na akong nahuna hunaan para sad dili maulaw ang uban nga sections..ingon c evelyn nako nga di daw muapil ang uban kai maulaw lagi cguro kai wala unya silay klasmate or kaistorya sa reunion...

Ronald salamat bay sa imo pag volunteer knhanglan kau nato ang mga volunteers karon..naa koi usa pa nga idugang ako nato naistorya sa section 11 to sya..im not sure..

I suggest also nga kining mga volunteers tagaan usab nato ug privelege sa reunion like contributions, nga libre ni sila kai lisod baya ning ilang role kai naa pud tay mga responsibilidad sa atoa..so mas mau cguro noh para sad malipay sila ug sukli sa ilang paghago..

Sa tanang registered nga naa sa dgte, i encourage you nga volunteer sa inyo section para mahinayon nato kining atong reunion..

Last nagkita ta kadto diha ko flores avenue 2005 kumusta bay..bitaw maayo kayo imo suggestion and very encouraging daghan na karun willing mag volunteer. Pagkatinoud lisod gani pagcontact sa ka section nato I think mas sayon kung internally kadto member sa usa ka section mo tabang ug contact directly sa members adto nga section arun mas convenient, dali ug dili maulaw. Lets say kadto (2) ka members in every section mo volunteer as local coordinators then later, mo coordinate ni sila sa mga interim central coordinators.

After this, I think ang atong central coordinators should call for initial meetings or acquaintances sa adtong (2) ka local coordinators bisan dili necessarily magkadungan ang purpose lang mau ma noted nato unsay mga concerns, opinions o suggestions sa kada section. Vise-versa ang channel of communication sayun nalang unya between local and central coordinators.

Then sayun nalang pod unya pag tawag og meeting participated both local and central coordinators aron ma finalize pagpili si kinsa I assign to head sa different committees. I agree with Jasper well deserve ato hatagan ug pribilihiyo kadto mga coordinators sa ila voluntary contribution ang ila unya kahago ug oras dako kaayo ug tabang.

Mar, we can help by searching all the names via friendster or facebook..in fact mostly kaning gaparegister karong ulahi lang nakit.an lang nako ilang mga names sa friendster..although it takes time pero sulit naman kai nakapregister sila..naa pko sa section 3, i still have 11 sections more..perhaps you can help mas mau and also sa uban..hehe..

no worries, ana man jud na, if naay excited, naa sad mga kill joy, wa man sad mu gipugos na mu join. anyways, naa plan nga padal-an letters tanan batch 96, if you want to join the meeting if naa ra dgte, then you are very welcome, but if you don't like then just disregard the letter.

Guyz just realize, sending letters to everyone here and within Philippines will be expensive. For printing, and mailing expenses. I just want to be realistic and frankto everyone. Please do not expect for the people to organize will be the one to spend too.

First issue:

Monetary

Who is going to sponsor the first meeting, then later if we can elect officers for the batch, we can plan on how to raise the money for other expenses.

Please think about it guyz.

Really want this reunion to happen.

Hi June, si Marilyn ni. Unsa nga letter ni? Mas maayo siguro kung unya ra ta magpadala ug letter sa tanan natong batchmates kung naa na ta actual date and venue sa reunion. Sa karon, pwede na siguro e-mail or text text nga planning stage pa lang ta.
Sa mga initial expeses, mas maayo unta kung naa maka-lend ug money nga ato ra pud batchmate (katong mga blessed financially) but we will of course see to it na ma-return after the reunion. We have to plan activities para maka-raise ug funds or bisan gikan sa contributions pag-abot na sa re-union.

Suggestion ra pud ni June.

Kumusta? Just an update, we had a meeting yesterday, and we were 12 who attended the meeting.

We have formed the committees and the head of the committees.

Our weekly meeting will be every Sunday at 3:00PM at the Boulevard in front of Bethel.

So far, that is all the updates and what we have talked about.

- we moved from scoobys to blvd; to find place nga mgdungog mi tanan..
- from blvd we transfered to minimick, to have a little chat over 4 bottles of redhorse grande (hehehe, amot2x rah mi ani)
- after minimick nilo's tocino kay nanihapon (amot2x lang japon mi ani, ang uban wa niamot.hahahaha)
- c ronald na flatan ug motor, glakaw gaguyod sa motor from noreco rd. mangnao to sta.rosa st.(luoi pod)ai gipulihan diay xang sherwin ug guyod sa motor :-)
- last destination namu kay escano..pahangin..

hi all,

may i suggest regarding our finance management to avoid future confusion, problems, khaos, miss understanding, doubt, etc... and most importantly to maintain transparentcy....
and i think this should be resolved first. i suggest that there must be an alumna in dgte who has an accounting background to volunter in creating a procedure or a system on how the funds should be dealt with. to name a few such as:
1.) TYPE OF ACCOUNT TO BE OPENED (e.g. joint accnt.)
2.) APOINTED SIGNATORIES
3.) FORMS TO BE USED FOR DOCUMENTATION PURPOSES AND AUDIT TRAIL, ETC. (e.g. disbursement boucher, etc.)

Hi all,

If we will open a joint account at the bank, that is difficult because the initial opening sa passbook is 15 thousand.

If I may suggest, we will open a bank account through ATM which the donors can deposit, especially those who are outside the Phil. Then we can open a second account at the PHCCI or DCCO with the name under NOHSians 96 with the appointed signatories and are authorize to withdraw the money. The we can transfer the money from the ATM to the saving joint account, in which we can tract all the withdrawals.

That is what we were doing when I was in college at the SG. Our savings is at PHCCI.

For the liquidation, we have talked on how to liquidate and audit all the expenses.

It is very hard for us to find other members which are qualified but are not interested.

We have backgrounds on finance and auditing too. we also know how to budget and liquidate everything.

Neil, I will email Jasper on the account number and you as well. I think it is not safe to put the bank account number here online.

Guys, I agree with the idea that all expenses shall be properly documented and filed. A request form is necessary duly approved by the
secretary and the head the of the committee. In this case, we can avoid confusion and everything is in order. This is just for my own
understanding which i think it is right.

Another issue, i would like to request to the committee that a weekly report shall be posted to our site as well as the minutes of meeting so we can track the progress of our goal. Based on our registration, we are still at 6.74% (49 counts) , our target is to have at least 50% (364 counts) of the 727 graduates. In order to meet the target, assuming that the reunion is to be held on December 2010, so we still have 14 months more to increase the count. Perhaps, we need at least 8% (25 counts) per month. Guys these are just my assumptions, para machieve atong goal...mas tougher pa kng more than 50% ang atong target. But its ok, hangtod lang sa atong makaya mahimo ra japon nato ang atong reunion..

I agree with you ja, an update and weekly report sa tanan nga happenings during meeting and financial reports.

We are also planning to raise funds, we have DAve and clark for the San Miguel Corporation connections, we are planning to have a battle of the bands, or unsa pa lain ma huna hunaan para maka raise ta funds.

Sory for the delay. Last Saturday 7th Nov meeting was well participated and gladly everyone have shared the participants as follows:

Please find the minutes of our discussion:

1. Invitation Letter shall be finalized next meeting and shall be printed and distributed. Dec 1 will be the target deadline to collect all invitation letters.

2. Number of participants based on invitation letter confirmation will be the basis for food preparation allocation and other services.

3. Freedom Park is chosen as venue for registration payment every Saturday (5:00-7:00pm). Participants should make arrangment by contacting the committee and/or in charge of collecting registration payments.

4. Design of T-Shirt shall be finalized and submitted next meeting for final approval of the committe. Mr Jeycarter voluntered for the design.

5. Two choices for the venue namely Baybayun and San Moritch was considered. However, San Moritch was initially favored since smaller amount is involve.

6. Rough estimate for In-house food preparation "all-in" for around 50-60 persons amounts to Php22,500/- compare to catering which is more cheaper. Initially, catering is highly favored.

7. Ms Malou Docto proposed to donate (1) one letson. Everyone is highly encouraged to donate cash or any food items preferably letson.

8. Alumni children above 5 years old is free from registration payment however they are required to register for food allocation.

9. Venue for next meeting should be decided right before the end of each meeting.
To all fellow TFC/OFC and local batchmates your donation in cash is highly anticipated. Right now the committee is actively checking the best value for money for the goods and services intended for our reunion. Please join us next meeting guys.,

12.A choice of 2 former advisers is proposed to be the guest speaker during the event.
13.3 streamers are made. So far 2 streamers are installed in strategic location. 1 streamer must be installed on Monday.

15.Financial report is submitted. Treasurer has presented a summary of financial transaction. Detailed excel sheet tabulation is to be presented. Secretary should coordinate with Treasurer for proper reporting of our financial update.

16.The committee approved that registration payment and donations from far-away alumni should be through money order transfer via LBC, M Lhullier, Cebuana Lhullier, Palawan, Western Union etc. to be claimed by the Treasurer Ms Erelyn R. Academia. Likewise, an option to send to relatives in Dumaguete to be ready for pick-up is also considered.
